Jakarta Regional Mitigation Agency (BPBD) has noted that moderate to heavy rain in Jakarta and its surrounding areas Monday afternoon has left dozens of neighborhood units (RT) inundated.

Nine are in South Jakarta and 29 are in East Jakarta

Jakarta BPBD's Center for Disaster Data and Information (Pusdatin) Head Mohammad Insaf said, until 12 PM, 38 out of 30,470 RTs or 0.125 percent in Jakarta were inundated with a water level of 50-170 cm.

"Nine are in South Jakarta and 29 are in East Jakarta. It happens after Ciliwung Pesanggrahan and Krukut rivers overflowed," he expressed, Monday (11/8).

According to him, the regional cross-organizational task force (OPD) assisted by local PPSU were still handling flood in the field.

"We are targeting the flood to recede as soon as possible. Based on temporary data, 15 households with 65 people of Kampung Melayu Urban Village have been evacuated at the local urban village office and Ittihadul Ikhwan Mosque in RW 008," he stated.

East Jakarta

Height : 50 cm in 1 RT

Cause :Ciliwung River overflow and high rainfall

- Cililitan Urban Village

Height: 70 centimeters in 2 RTs

Cause: Ciliwung River Overflow

- Cawang Urban Village

Height: 60 to 140 cm in 7 RTs

Cause: Ciliwung River Overflow

Refugees: Have returned to their respective homes

- Bidara Cina Urban Village

Height: 70 to 90 cm in 3 RTs

Cause: Ciliwung River Overflow

- Kampung Melayu Urban Village

Height: 50 to 170 cm in 16 RTs

Cause: Ciliwung River Overflow

Refugees: 15 households, 65 people
